I would recommend a bench-check and cleaning/detailing. It powered right up, and I believe is fully functional. Back in “the day”, these were “the radio” to have. Hard to find these quality pieces, especially with the SW (short wave) feature.
These “New Yorkers” are rare radios, and were used in high end cars in the mid 1960’s. This radio has been in dry storage for 20 years when it was removed frommy ’65 Aston Martin DB5 during restoration. This auction is for a vintage Blaupunkt “New Yorker” AM/FM/SW Radio.
